Display your Jewelry Collection

Remember the whole trunk of artsy pretty junk jewelry pieces that you have so carefully cultivated over the years, from sales, beaches, curio shops and all your holiday trips? Well, all those beauties are wasted lying in your cupboard as all of them have the potential to act as beautiful décor pieces. All you have to do is to artistically arrange them on pieces of string and hang them up from curtain doors. Or you could use a whitewashed board, pin nails on it and use it as a background for displaying your eclectic jewelry collection. The colour and the vibrancy of your jewelry will perk up the look of your home.

Use Fresh Flowers

Fresh flowers can do what no interior decorator can; bring in a whole lot of natural loveliness and charm into your house. Do not just limit the use of flowers to sticking them on a vase, as there are a number of other ways in which blooms can be used. Pluck the petals and artistically heap them on a beautiful urn with a few floating candles. Or string flowers into garlands, and loop them on curtain rods to give a fresh and festive look to your home.

Couch covers, Bed Spreads and Cushions

An easy tip for an instant home revamp, is to use new affordable covers like couch covers, cushion covers and bed covers. This stuff can actually revamp the look of your furniture and make it seem like new. Not only will your home look trendy when you coordinate matching (or artistically contrasting) covers, but this look is easy to achieve and can be done in 10 minutes flat. Instead of spending a fortune and a few days in changing your old couch and steady but aged bedm you could just gift them with new covers. The results will pleasantly surprise you.

New Curtains

Nothing can change the look of a room more than a set of fresh new curtains. Any time you want to give your home an instant face lift, all you have to do is to put up new curtains. Color code according to the weather, such as summer cheery lemon and pastels do the trick. Winters call for rich caramel and scarlet tones. If you do not have the budget to get new curtains made for all rooms, then use old dress material to fashion patchwork cushions. They are the perfect embodiment of the shabby chic style of décor.
